Maybe you are in the field or maybe you are in a office, regardless of where you work there is likely to be some sort of disagreement between you and your manager. Now, if you have a disagreemenet with your boss, the first instinct is to feel as though you are the only one who has that problem. In the era of major corporations and government bureacracy it is highly likely that you are not the only one who is facing this problem or issue. The first and most important lesson in Unionism is that you are not alone. A union is made up of people who decide to work together collectively to negotiate better working conditions. Couldn't my coworkers and I form our own Union? Why do I need Laborers Local 483 to represent me? The first answer, is YES! Yes you and your coworkers can form your own union. The reason why you need Laborers Local 483 is because we can give you the strength and support of a major union complete with the freedom and flexibility of a smaller Union.
