A copy of the full tentative agreement is availabe on the DCTU Tentative Agreement is available on the DCTU website http://www.dctu.org/.  Ballots will be sent out on Friday, April 4th so members should start receiving them by Monday, April 7th.  Ballots will be due back at the Local 483 office by Friday, April 18th at 5pm.

MARCH 17th Action

Portland city hall on Monday, March 17 - 60 members of Local 483 and community members show solidarity with AFSCME Local 189 as they vote to authorize a strike and delegate the mayor with the message that we are ready to strike for a fair contract.

DCTU CONTRACT CAMPAIGN UPDATE

Ballots to vote on City Management's final offer to DCTU members were mailed on Monday March 3rd.  Both CAT and Bargaining team are urging a 'no' vote and strike authorization - if we stick together We Can DO BETTER!  Ballots are due back at Laborers 483 office by 5pm Friday, March 14th.

On Monday, April 21st, Teamster locals 179, 301, 330, and 673 narrowly accepted the Northern Illinois Ready Mix and Materials' contract proposal. The new agreement includes seniority protection, full back pay, and guaranteed raises over the next two years. The contract ratification ended a week-long strike and members returned to work today.
