PCL Vacation Cashout


As of November 30th, Laborers 483 has executed a brand new Vacation Cashout Agreement. Under the original agreement, City leadership planned to impose serious tax expenses on all PCL workers. To combat this, we created a new MoU with different rules that would prevent those unnecessary expenses.

The most important change in this new agreement is that members must opt into the benefit in the calendar year before they use it. This means that to cash out any vacation leave in 2024, you must fill out the Vacation Cashout Opt-In Form before the end of 2023. Then, to exercise the Cashout, you must submit a Vacation Cashout Request Form in 2024. These forms can be submitted by email to InboxBHRCentralPayroll@portlandoregon.gov.
